Volunteer as a Mentor
By becoming a mentor you will help write new chapters in the story of a young life. All it takes is a few hours a month. Plus, all youth enrolled are voluntarily committed to improve their lives, which, makes the mentor relationship a positive one from the very start.

Youth at Risk thoroughly prepares you for success as a mentor. Steps to becoming a mentor:

  1. Attend a mentor introduction and complete a mentor application.
  2. Participate in a personal interview with Youth at Risk staff
  3. Complete a background check (fingerprints necessary).
  4. Attend mentor training (calendar available at introduction)
  5. New Pathways Teen Program: Attend a 4-day retreat outside of the Phoenix area, with your youth. Homeless Children’s Mentoring Program: Meet your youth the first time with the Program Manager at their home.
  6. Make a difference in a child’s life!

Attend a Mentor Orientation
Orientations are held weekly at our Center located at 1001 East Pierce Street, Phoenix. If you are interested in attending, please provide your contact information below:
