Phoenix Youth at Risk has three comprehensive mentoring programs, all of which are free to participating youth and their families. Our programs provide participants with a multitude of opportunities:
  • Discover who they really are
  • Learn to have fulfilling relationships
  • Learn to choose supportive friends
  • Acquire and practice the tools to be effective in school and to see school as an opportunity to create their future
  • Work with a mentor who is committed to their success
  • Create a future that is different from what their past indicated was possible

New Pathways Program
This 9-month program of one-on-one and group mentoring is unique in Phoenix given its 4-day Intensive Retreat which marks the launch of the program, its weekly structured workshops with a community of mentors and youth, and its monthly community service component. The program is designed to teach youth goal-oriented behaviors which they can apply at school, home and in their commuity. Learn more about the New Pathways Program.

Life Roads Program
This one year program is designed for graduates of the New Pathways and provides an opportunity for ongoing mentoring and goal-setting in a supported environment. Learn more about the Life Roads Program.

Positive Adult Leaders in Society (P.A.L.S.) Program  (previously known as Stepping Stones)
This program was added to our programming in July 2005. This one-year mentoring program serves youth ages 5 to 15 living in homeless transitional shelters with their families. The program provides one-on-one mentoring and positive role models to youth whose parents are often focused on more immediate needs. Learn more about the P.A.L.S. Program.
