The New Pathways Program is conducted in partnership with several Phoenix schools. It serves youth ages 14 – 18. The program is designed to build confidence and support youth in creating and achieving personal goals, through the following components:
  • A unique four-day Intensive Retreat which allows youth to “step away” from community influences and reconnect with a sense of vision for their lives
  • A comprehensive curriculum which teaches youth goal-oriented behaviors
  • Physical challenges, such as ropes courses, push youth to go beyond their fears and learn to trust others
  • Each youth is paired with a volunteer adult mentor, which we call a “Committed Partner.” Both community and one-on-one mentoring provides support for the youth to stay engaged and accomplish the goals they create for themselves..
  • Youth and mentors meet weekly for nine months and take part in monthly project development, workshops and community service projects.
